With a packed schedule set to be confirmed later this week, we are delighted that Following The Nerd are going to host the Live Stage at Invasion Dublin. 

Following The Nerd are Ireland's largest movies, games, TV, collectibles, comics and paranormal news hub. They podcast, videocast, have a live radio show every Thursday 9-11 at www.followingthenerd.com. They have also hosted the very successful Heroes and Legends event in Belfast. They provide all the latest news, reviews and interviews from the nerd world.

We are extremely delighted that Cork native Will Sliney, artist on The Phantom Menace 3D and Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be appearing at Invasion Dublin 2012. While there he will be giving talks and taking part in Star Wars drawing classes. Check some of his amazing work on his guest page.
 
 
We're delighted that James Arnold Taylor will be joining us online on April 3rd at 8pm GMT to talk about his show which will be performed for the first time outside the US at Invasion Dublin.

We are delighted that Lando Calrissian himself, Billy Dee Williams, will make his first appearance at a European Star Wars event this May Bank Holiday weekend at Invasion Dublin.

With a career spanning over 100 parts in movies, TV and radio, Williams’ impressive credentials includes appearances in Lost, Scrubs and Tim Burton’s Batman. It was his appearances in Star Wars that really brought him into the public spotlight, playing scoundrel and Lando Calrissian in both "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

Other guests confirmed for this year's event include voice actor James Arnold Taylor (Obi Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars animated series), Mike Edmonds (Logray) and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), with more to be announced.

Invasion Dublin takes place in Citywest Event Centre, Dublin, just 20 minutes from the city centre and only 30 minutes from Dublin.

 An extra date has been added and new features.Due to popular demand Invasion Dublin has been extended by a day and will now open on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7th. We'll also be introducing new elements to the show including a cosplay competition, The Great Star Wars Quiz as well live sculpting demonstrations from the Emerald Garrison. Ireland’s largest and most loved Star Wars event has announced its return to Dublin on the May bank holiday weekend (4-6th) in Citywest Events Centre in Dublin.

Tickets for Invasion Dublin (with up to an astonishing 50% off from last year) are on sale now from www.Invasion.ie/tickets which this year will boast new actors, new sets and a massive educational program including talks and demonstrations including “The Science of Space”, “Robotics” and “Recreating the magic – How costumes, sets and props are built, by the world renowned Emerald Garrison”.
